Lamb that is a royal friend worthy



Find the piece of lamb that might fit you the best and the exact size that you find suits you


Rub the lamb with mixed spices: (and if any of this might fall off, let it stay with the lamb in oven, or the gravy will be “empty”)

12 - 16 juiperus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Juniperus_osteosperma_1.jpg )
1 teaspoon chorused ginger
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Put it in the oven; add water and small pieces of butter will raise the taste both to the lamb and the gravy (traditional dish in Denmark always add gravy)


Which you make with:

4 deciliter bouillon from a chicken boilede with 3 sliced leeks and 2 onion will fit the gravy extreemly well
add water from the lamb,
if totally hiliarius party mood you can also add some whipped cream which will bring forth gravy like a dream
blend the onion into the gravy

arrange leeks around lamb, tasty and decorative
you have to use a thickener, here husband uses flour, but use whatever might suit you, add salt, pepper and currant jelly until the accepted taste is reached.

For this dish we usually serve potatoes, vegetables
Most people in Denmark will bring the dish to the table. If it is a large celebration, servants will walk from the one to the other of the guests, first potatoes, lamb and gravy. Smiling – in our house we almost always let it all stay where the meal is prepared, family has not yet get used to the new larger kitchen.

A party, a feast, it is custom to serve 3 kinds, a small dish before the main dish, and after a desert. In older days, a generation ago, the family always had 2 dishes, a main dish and a desert. In this house we usually eat one dish only, and in especial evocations we will have a desert.

Lamb is not a traditional Danish dish; mostly around here it is porky-party smiling – but I imagine that is costume in the USA as well.
This house, became kosher, and still we use the traditional Danish dishes, just we add the recopies kosher prepared meat and aproved of the Most High, instead of the pink-porky
